I use k9 advantix on my dog every month to schedule. I also bath him in flea shampoo every so often. I have 3 cats that I frontline as well. I have noticed him scratching a lot for the past 2 months but was never able to find any sign of fleas when combed. This morning i was petting his belly and i saw like 10 tiny tiny fleas crawling around his skin. How could this be when he is on advantix? I gave him another treatment right away, as well as my cats. Do I need to bomb my house now too? I plan on bathing him again when i get home from work as well. Suggestions?
The answer is provided by :
Bill L : Don’t bathe him after you put on the K9 Advantix.

anyone ever bought pet supplies from this FSDPETS.COM? i want to make sure it’s legit before i purchase. thank you.
how do you know it isn’t counterfiet?
The answer is provided by :
JOAN W : Yes I have & know other people who use it also.
I haven’t had any issue with product or delivery. I usually get my order within 3-5 days of placing my order & flea stuff works.
Add: I originally placed my 1st order with them thru Ebay so you can check their rating & service on the ebay site even if they aren’t currently selling or buy from them on Ebay instead.

So about two weeks ago I bought my 2yr. old Maltese K9 Advantix 10.
I applied it that same day. About a couple of days later I started to notice that it wasn’t working. Now, two weeks later, my dog and my house is infested. This morning I tried returning the medicine at Petsmart, and they wouldn’t accept it. I mean it was pretty expensive and I want my money back to buy my pet a better medicine. What can I do?
This is was answered by :
Brittany : The only thing you can really do is focus on helping your dog. You might have a problem with the company, not petsmart.

I have a growing 45 lb. Siberian puppy and it’s time for him to get another flea injection. He’s not due to go back to the vet until another month or so, sooo…
Which is better? FRONTLINE PLUS or K9 ADVANTIX??? Is there anything cheaper out there that works just as well? Anything for heartworm too???
I bought a $10 flea/tick injection tube for the dog from my local pet store, but I’m not sure if it works as well as the name brand. I also want something that can possibly repel mosquitoes. Anything for that???
The question was answered by :
palrmt : i like advantix but have a cat so stick to frontline. as far as heartworms i use heartguard. i am really happy with the results of both. advantage is pretty good as well. the generic over the counter brands just dont work as well stick to the stuff from your vet. it costs more but you get what you pay for. good luck

hi, always buy my 7 month pomeranian his flea medicine (k9 advantix-1-10 lbs) at his vet. But its a little more expensive to buy it there. And I have been wanting to check out 1800 pet meds, to try and save money. Has anyone used this website? If so can you tell me how it turned out. please and thank you!!! , Sonia*
The best answer is by :
natalie l : You have no guarentee with 1800petmeds, but if you buy from the vet and it doesn't work or dog gets sick from fleas or ticks, the vet is responsible to pay for the treatment or replacing the products (this is the same with the heartworm pill or any medication). Tell your vet what it would cost at 1800petmeds, they might match the price.

i had found some fleas on my dogs last week, not sure how they got them but sprayed my yard, my whole house, vacuumed throughly, and washed my dogs with flea shampoo. . .
now i went to the pet store to see if they had frontline, but the guy told me they only had bio spot which is better then front line??????? whats your opinion???
my one dog is still itching, could it be that shes healing from the bites?
The question was answered by :
millypeed : l’ve only used Frontline, but l swear by it, brilliant stuff. l’d try another pet store or go to the vets to get it.
The flea bites on your dog will be itching and irritating her, but they will soon heal.

I live in an area that fleas are quite a problem. Although we don't see any in our home, we are constantly finding fleas on our dogs and cats. I have been using K9-Advantix for months, but still see fleas constantly. We bath our pets, wash their beds, vacuum, … but still see fleas! Of all the products on the market, what would you recommend for my dogs and cats?
The question was answered by :
ItalianStallion : Advantage Multi or Revolution

Hi well I take my dog for his shots at Banfield and only get shots that she needs. (not any extra junk)
After I heard all the bad reports about Banfield is it fine that I go to Banfield for shots/vaccines and k9 advantix and heatquard
But if my dog was ill I would take it to a better hospital that's farther away which is why I choose Banfield for her vaccines?
I know this sounds weird but all shots are the same right?
This is was answered by :
kitty98 : Make sure that your dog is only getting vaccinated for the things she really needs, they will push unnecessary vaccines, such as corona or giardia….. Especially to older dogs that don't really need much vaccinations, if at all… (ps. advantix can be found cheaper in other places, you don't need prescription for that… ie. our local cabelas (which is a sports/hunting shop sells them)
Regarding having two vets, everytime that you check out after your dogs vaccines, ask for the full vaccine record from Banfield. Visit your regular veterinarian at least twice a year for a regular check-up, even if your dog is healthy. That builds enough report w your regular veterinarian and to give them the vaccine record so they can update their paperwork.
And yes… all shots from reputable manufacturers are the same.

I went on PetsuppliesNet.com based on suggestion from others for cheap pet meds. I ordered K9 Advantix for my 50lb dog and got a package that is from Bayer, but just says Advantix. Is this an older version of K9 Advantix that is just as effective? Is this just a packaging difference since I ordered from Australia? Am I over-thinking this, or getting swindled?
The best answer is by :
Forsaken : Advantix and K9 Advantix are the same product. They are part of the Advantage family which markets Advantage, Advantix and Advocate. The packaging is different for each country/area of the world because it has to conform to the labeling standards.
