So, I bought frontline from my vet but my pets are still suffering from fleas?
It’s been 5 days since I treated my cats/dogs with frontline. This is actually the second time in the last 2 months. First, I used frontline spray (didn’t work)…so last week I bought frontline top spot. I cleaned my whole house and all of their bedding (my cat’s don’t even go outside..the dogs must be bringing in the fleas). Anyway, I bought both frontline products from my vet. Do you think I should complain since their products don’t work? I want my money back and I want to switch to advantage. Should I complain to my vet (probably not) or the frontline company? Do you think they’ll give me my money back. I don’t even have a receipt, anymore.

They might, but honestly it’s going to be a struggle unless you bombed your house. Fleas can hide anywhere, and it takes 6 months for them to be fully killed. It takes that long because thats how long from the time they are eggs until the time that they are adults, and frontline doesn’t kill them fully until they are adults. Your animals ALL need to have it applied once monthly for 6 months, and it is recommended to bomb your house completely. They won’t give you back your money until both things happen. Also be sure to apply it to the skin, not the hair. Make sure it is parted completely. The spray needs to be applied the same way, and done as if you are brushing them backwards if that makes sense. Instead of just spraying it on, you push the hair up the opposite way that it grows and spray. Again, 6 month period.
Same for advantix, and while that does more than frontline, frontline is the better product.
