i received this dog from a friend a two months ago. His original owner i guess did not take to him well. i have never had a dog with fleas before and i can not seem to get rid of them. i just moved into a brand new house but all the neighbors have dogs. Could these fleas be coming from the neighbors pets? I don’t know what to do. I don’t need these fleas nesting in my house. Maybe they already are and that’s the problem. what can i do?

I knew this was going to be the answer, i guess i was hoping it could be something more simple. i have had pets for over 30 yrs and NEVER had a problem. i just moved into my never lived in house 2 months ago and this is not something i expected to have to deal with. Oh well…off to the store Thanks for all the quick advice. Anyone ever used an exterminator?

Ok, and if you want to take the less expensive route and not have to deflea your home, get comfortis the next time you go to the vet. It’s about $14 and works wonders. It’s a pill and lasts one month so you dont have to worry about accidentally washing it off or having it cause skin irritation like topical treatments.

And deflea your entire home if you have the time/money. but if not, a comfortis pill will do the trick.
